The Parish of Three Saints

Following the departure of Reverend Simon Lewis we are now in a period of Interregnum.

An interregnum is the period between a priest leaving a parish and another one being appointed.

Worship during the Interregnum

During this time we have to find cover for Worship from local retired clergy.

Currently we have cover for all  our regular 8am Holy Communion Worship and 10am Parish Eucharist on Sundays until January 2019, although some 8am Worship will be 'Service of the Word', which means there will be no Communion. If, for unforeseen circumstances, it is not possible to hold Worship a notice will be placed on the church door.  The monthly 6.30pm evensong at St Michael's, Brent Knoll and the Wednesday morning mid-week Worship at St Christopher's, Lympsham will continue as usual. Unfortunately, the Tuesday 2.30pm mid week Worship at St Mary's East Brent will not take place.

Update on selection for our new Priest

The Parish Profile has been completed (a link to this is on the Home page) and an advertisement is now in the Church Times and can be viewed here, or on the Diocesan website and online at jobs.churchtimes.co.uk

The closing date for applications is 7th November, with informal visits and interviews taking place on 28th and 29th November.

If you haven’t had a chance to read the Parish Profile yet, get it here, or there is a paper copy in the Church office.

The PCC have voted in our Parish Representatives, Anthony Barkle and Maxine Bashford, who will both be part of the shortlisting and interview team, along with Anne Gell, our Archdeacon, Sharon Crossman, our Area Dean and Tim Hind, Lay Chair.

Please pray for them and continue to pray for the whole recruitment process - for God’s will to be done in finding a new priest who will work alongside us and guide us as we go forward.

Thank you.
